Report writing and assessments
To make sure play therapy is helping each child in the best way, we start by looking at their strengths, challenges, and what they hope to achieve. This gives us a clear starting point and helps guide the sessions.
Tracking progress
To understand and support each child’s journey, we use tools like the Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ) and a discussion of hopes and expectations.
The SDQ helps identify areas where a child may be experiencing emotional, social, or behavioural challenges, while also highlighting their strengths. Together with the child and their parents or carers, we set goals and track progress over time, ensuring that play therapy meets their individual needs and supports positive growth.
